Reusable feedback comments, straight from your rubric

You type 'strong thesis, but cite your sources' forty times a term. A comment bank fixes that, and your rubric already defines exactly what feedback should say. Upload the rubric and get ready-to-paste comments for every criterion at every performance level.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Bring your rubric

Upload it as a PDF, Word document, or screenshot, or paste the text. Any rubric with criteria works, levels optional.

  2. Step 2

    Get the bank

Three reusable comments per criterion per level: specific, constructive, and written to the student.

  3. Step 3

    Copy as you grade

Copy individual comments while grading, or copy the whole bank into the document where you keep your feedback snippets.

Why instructors use it

  • Comments grounded in your actual criteria, not generic praise
  • Covers every performance level, including the hard-to-word low end
  • Pairs with the Rubric Converter: convert a rubric, then bank it

Common questions

What if my rubric has no performance levels?

The builder generates comments for strong, adequate, and needs-work tiers for each criterion, so you still get a usable range.

Are the comments written to the student or about the student?

To the student, in second person, one to two sentences each, ready to paste into a gradebook or feedback box.

Can I save the comment bank?

Copy or download it as text today. Saved, searchable comment banks tied to your rubrics are part of the full MyTA product.

The tools are the free part. MyTA is the rest.

MyTA lives inside your LMS and handles the operational work around these documents: grading against your rubric, drafting replies, tracking engagement, keeping your course compliant.
